plan first - called long distance to my phone. asked for me by name and then didn't answer.

I too have recieved their calls with no one on the other line or they hang up on you. Today I finally got to actually talk to them. These people claim to be an orginization that has been given information from our credit card companies. That if we answer their questions they can lower our intrest rate to lower than 7%, and they even had my name and my address. These people are bogus. They claim to be in Florida, but 480 is Phoenix, AZ. I asked them to take me off of their list. I have placed myself on the Do Not Call list (https://www.donotcall.gov/), although I doubt it will stop them from calling me. I also plan to subscribe to my phone companies Blocked Phone Number service since they always call from the same number.
Please remeber, don't give out personal information on the phone, through the mail, or on the Internet unless you've initiated the contact and are sure you know who you're dealing with. Identity thieves are clever, and may pose as representatives of banks, Internet service providers (ISPs), and even government agencies to get people to reveal their Social Security number, mother's maiden name, account numbers, and other identifying information.
Before you share any personal information, confirm that you are dealing with a legitimate organization. Check an organization's website by typing its URL in the address line, rather than cutting and pasting it. Many companies post scam alerts when their name is used improperly. Or call customer service using the number listed on your account statement or in the telephone book.

Caller keeps calling. Never leaving a message or responding when answered. Nothing happens when called back.
